I can has kittens?

Cut for those of you who don't want to see them. Pictures of adorable baby cats .


First up, we have Jester, whom you probably remember is our pretty girl with the mis-matched eyes.







Then we have Faith. She is absolutely a sweetheart, and is my second favorite of the batch. Just the right combination of cuddly and independently playful.






Faith with Destiny, and then just Destiny. We wanted kind of matchy names for the two orange girls, and I like Faith's, but am meh with Destiny... doesn't seem like a great fit, for whatever reason. Anyhow, Destiny is uber playful and has a strong personality... she loves toys and playing/chasing the other kitties and has the loudest purr of the group. She likes people, but is pretty active... she doesn't want to just lay and snuggle.






Bo (short for bovine for his adorable cow-like markings) is -- and it kills me to say this -- the one kitty I wouldn't keep. He's a great little guy, but he is very demanding, and meows a lot. He's clearly starved for attention, and we give him as much as we can, but he'll still meow plaintively even when he's cuddled close and being pet with both hands, and he wants to be on a person and have their complete attention 100% of the day. I really think he'd be best if he were adopted by a family with a couple of kids/teens, as they'd be inclined to give him all the cuddles and contact he needs. Anyhow, just one of him as it's hard to get a pic when he's not either blurry from trying to get as close as possible quickly, or with his mouth open in a meow, or both. That's Dest in the background with him.





No pics of Gandalf, the lovely gray kitty, today. We're going to be keeping him, thus the Tolkien name to go with our other kitties. He is still an uber sweetheart... very easy going about stuff, doesn't bother the older cats, and loves to be a little snugglebug when approached. I think he'll miss the other kittens when they leave us (he does like to play with them, and sleeps in the big kitten pile) but I think he'll be happy with us.

OMG is Jester ever gorgeous! She reminds me of how pretty Pearl was. (Peggy used to call Pearl "our supermodel kitten.")

She really is lovely! And a great personality to boot. I know some people are weird about the kitties with different coloured eyes, so I'm really hoping someone will see how utterly gorgeous and awesome she is and want to adopt her.

If I thought that our house could support a second cat (Gogo won't have it, and she's in charge), I'd be pestering Dan about how Gogo should have a playmate, since we're both at work all day, and there's nobody around for her to visit with, unlike at his last place, and Gosh, my friend Amy has this gorgeous little kitten....

She truly is beautiful. And I think the mismatched eyes just make her that much cooler. *grin*

Oh, you're making me want a kitty so much!

But yesterday my boss brought in her new kitten (which is adorable, with fur that's brown just a shade or two off black), and my eyes itched so much I thought I'd die. I've never been allergic to cats before, and if I am now, I think I'll cry. *pouts*

So now I'm determined to go hang out with some cats and not be allergic.

Your foster kitties are adorable, though. The shot of Faith with her head cocked should be on a postcard. :o)

Oh no, allergies :( That is not a fun new thing to discover. Hopefully it was just the one kitty for whatever reason and won't apply to all of them. He does sound gorgeous... I know just the color you mean.

Hee, I really do adore them all, even if they're only temporary additions. Kittens are like animated gifts of joy! ...with sharp claws.

So I'm guessing this is Pre-assention Gandalf since he's gray and all? *chuckles and pets the godly kitten* Just make sure to keep him away from the other god-spawned felines... the Saurmon kitten might try to kidnap him.

Yes, absolutely! Gandalf the Gray just seemed entirely too appropriate for him. Though I must say, he's quite a bit mellower in kitten form... And yes, thankfully there are no completely white kitties in the batch, or I would have to watch out!

every time I see jester she looks more awesome. how is she getting along with older cats?

She truly is a gorgeous cat! To be honest, the kittens don't interact much with the older cats, and vice versa. So we've had a few 'older kitty comes up and sniffs kitten' moments with her, but that's about it. She does seem respectful and doesn't pester ours, but she has littermates to tumble around with. She might try to play with the bigger kitties if she doesn't have other entertainment, but I think she'd back off if they weren't amenable.

They are going back to the Milo Foundation today to get their last shots and spay/neutering, so she should be available soon if you are interested in her!
