I accidentally got oatmeal that can only be made in the microwave. No boiling water, and no conventional cooking directions. Remind me not to do that again. ::looks suspiciously at it::
Alex is getting more teeth, which means general unexpected moments of fussiness during the day and waking up at night. He's also discovered that if he sucks on a fruit snack and then takes it out of his mouth, it will stick to stuff. In spite of (or because of) his mischief-making abilities, I continue to adore him beyond all words. He's doing the cutest little dance right now.
Did I talk about Easter? I think I forgot. Easter was heathen craziness with my mom on Saturday. Nate was a bit on the jetlagged and comatose side, so we let him doze on the couch while we frolicked. Picked Jay up and had dinner and played with the stuff Grandma's Easter bunny left us. I got a psychotic lawn bunny! I adore it. And starbucks truffle eggs! And salt and pepper shakers! I adore the Easter. My mom was really very good about not including a ton of candy for the boy. Sunday dinner was at Oma's house with much family and no heathen-ness, and went pretty well. The boy made out quite well between everyone, lots of bath toys and musical bunnies. He's a happy toddler (except for the teeth thing).
We had a few days of lovely sunny weather, but they appear to be over now, and it's coldish. Well, you know, California cold.
I've had a bit of writer's block but am slogging through it in the hopes that it will go away if I ignore it. I've been less-than-creative in general lately. Bah. Think I will go make some tea.
