May. 26th, 2004 10:36 pmBusy day...
Nate forgot his cell phone at home by mistake, so I dropped that off for him, and then came back home. Took my car up to the auto place, where they took pictures and drew up an estimate for the insurance company. If all goes well, I'll be dropping it off Tuesday and picking it up Thurs/Friday all shiny and perfect again. They also got my mirror patched so it doesn't do further damage until then (duct tape! fancy! but it works).
Then off to see my mom for lunch. She locked her keys in her house this morning, so first we went by George-the-Painter's place to see if she could get her spare... alas, he is apparently back at work so no such luck. We grabbed some lunch, and she's going to come visit me (at MY house for a change!) on Tuesday to show me all the baby stuff she's gotten since the last time she showed me all the baby stuff she'd gotten, to give me more blood sugar test strips, and to bring something I need for the shower favors. After lunch, we had time to check out the maternity section of the hospital... just a glimpse, Nate and I will be going back for a tour, but it was still fun to see and chat with the nurses. She went back to work, and I spontaneously decided to stop by Connie's (one of our favorite fish stores) since I was so close.
Nate and I have been talking about getting another addition for the tank, so I was mooning over the mushroom corals and chatting with the employees, who are always tres friendly and helpful... and of course, I just couldn't leave all those corals in the tanks looking at me with their puppy dog eyes.... er.... puppy dog somethings? Okay, who am I kidding, they could care less about me but I had to have one. So there is another lovely new addition to the tank. I have them tentatively placed and they seem to be quite happy already.
Dropped off Nate's truck for oil change and tire rotation, then we grabbed dinner and went on our hospital tour at Washington, which went well, picked the truck up, and now we're back home and it's time good Nates and Amys were in bed.
